Heatherslade delivers a high standard of person-centred care, treating residents as individuals. We appreciate that all older people have a unique history and personality. Their experience, abilities, skills and knowledge are at the centre of the care we give.
We take the time to get to know each of our residents and we’ll talk about how they’d like to spend their time in our care. Residents have tailored Care Plans and a Key Worker who will have an insight into their expectations and needs.
Daily management of Heatherslade falls to the Manager who has 20 years experience in care of the elderly. Staff are on duty 24 hours a day, with a nurse call system in place.
As well as care support workers, a dedicated team including a housekeeper, maintenance manager, chef and gardener maintains the smooth running of the home.
Good quality and relevant training is essential to the staff development. Heatherslade has a training plan that identifies the training that staff require to meet the needs of the residents. All new staff members undertake a planned induction programme.
